Perkin Elmer equipment was made in Connecticut USA. They were commonly use for controllers in laboratory equipment like mass spectrometers. Not much of it left now. The RICM has two Perkin Elmer systems. PERKIN-ELMER 3230

Your mag tape cabinets looks like it has a 9" SMD disk drive in the bottom.
