I believe these were an evolution from an earlier X Terminal product line. These offer not only a variety of remote access protocols (including X11) but also a limited number of applications which run locally, including a web browser and Java. I believe it’s a closed and proprietary system, and without any access to local storage. So, “Business Network Computer” is not like a Personal Computer, more like a thin client, but not so thin.

access to a local Netscape NC Navigator web
browser, PC applications, Java, and server-based
applications running on most major systems.
Business systems such as web servers, application
servers, file servers, mail servers, or database
servers can be accessed easily and simultaneously.
The NC200 also comes standard with an ICA
client for accessing PC applications running on a
multi-user Windows NT server.Legacy System Access
The NC200 supports access to additional legacy
systems through a series of terminal emulation
packages that execute locally. Legacy applications
running on major systems such as IBM
mainframes and DEC mini-computers can be
accessed simultaneously with other applications.
Users may access legacy applications using local
IBM 3270E and 5250 emulators, DEC VT220, and
DEC VT340 emulators and X Window System
clients.
