This brings back many fond memories of when I worked for Banksia. I remember one of the first prototypes we looked at had an issue where we could not see the LED lights unless you looked at the front at a particular angle (and it was a small viewing angle at that) which was dead on from the front. A bit awkward when it was sitting on the desk next to your computer or monitor. We ended up pulling it apart and taking the light pipe out, then lightly sanding the outer lens so it would disperse the light better and not focus it in one tiny direction.
