Hello Atarians!
The latest issue of Atari Insights is now available.
With everything moving as fast as it does these days, it’s good to slow down and spend some time with machines that never rushed us. This issue leans into that idea — learning, tinkering, and rediscovering why these systems still feel right.
Inside this month’s issue, you’ll find:
- The next step in the 400 MINI series, moving beyond the basics and into everyday tips most people miss
- An updated FujiNet Weather Project, continuing to evolve into something more practical and reusable
- A new Thinking in Code article that digs deeper into strings and how they can be used creatively
- Another hands-on Joystick Workshop experiment that pushes the Atari just a little further
There’s plenty more inside as well, including a mix of programming, projects, reviews, and reflections — but I’ll let you discover those at your own pace.

One extra note, and a bit of encouragement:
In the last 24 hours, my part of North Carolina picked up about 9 inches of snow. That may not sound like much to folks farther north, but around here it’s a big deal — the last time we saw this much was over 12 years ago. Days like this feel like the universe giving us permission to stay in, keep warm, and spend some time with a hobby we enjoy. I’ll definitely be doing that myself — coffee nearby, Atari computers for company. I hope some of you are doing the same.
Thanks, as always, for keeping the Atari spirit alive.
