At the AGM yesterday, it was decided to move discussions to the ACMS forum in lieu of any other sites/lists

The committee is now:

  • President - Tony Epton
  • Vice President - Adrian F
  • Treasurer - Linda Epton
  • Secretary - Alex Dawson
  • Other Committee members: Tim Gilchrist, Nick Bannon, Adrian Magni

With regards to plans, this is my aims for the next year. Follow along for statuses

  1. Collection Wayfinding

  2. Create map

  3. Create labels

  4. Apply labels to fixtures
    1. Probably one label per shelving unit
    2. Label shelves from floor, on floor being 0

  5. Cataloging project

  6. Investigate options for collection management platforms
    1. Ensure data management strategy is long term sustainable - exports available etc

  7. Commence cataloging one shelf or fixture at a time

  8. Items 1 and 2 may occur simultaneously

  9. Communications

  10. Investigate options for website
    1. New site/host/cms
    2. Potentially redirects to acms.org.au/wa or similar

  11. Investigate collaborating with ACMS Facebook page

  12. Membership Management

  13. Investigate options for streamlined membership management options

  14. Association management

  15. Implement Collection Management Policy
    1. Develop and approve policy for adding and removing items from collection
    2. Define How/where/when to catalog
