Couldn’t find any info using the Austel number, but searching for it did turn up some others in adverts, in Just Magazines Computer Market - Issue No 15 (1994-05)(Mavala)(AU)

Thanks Ed. I’m not so fussed for this list where the modem was designed or made but it must be branded with an Australian company. Though the more Aussie, the more better 
I’ve updated the top post with the Automatic Ice modem. Thanks for the link to the archive.org magazine, that let me dig deeper so I could read the model number. Looks like Automatic Ice Co. were making modems for around a decade.

This is the modem I had and when you powered it on it played an ear splittingly loud Australian male voice saying, “WELCOME TO VOIDAX!”
My dad bought it from Rod Irving Electronics in 1988 from memory. Was love at first sight for me and I’m still in the telco/broadband industry.

G’day Dan. Thanks for posting. That’s a good catch spotting it on eBay - I miss everything that doesn’t have “Australia” in the title or description. I’ve updated the top post with the model name and other details gleaned from the eBay listing.

Has anyone heard of Ozcom Modems? The Australian branding was irresistible. I haven’t found anything about this modem. The manufacturer may be OzCom Technology Group, hopefully they answer my email request for info.
Sadly, it’s another eBay rescue that is missing the dongle that might let it work again.

i’ve been told by management, we actually used to have a modem division many years ago, well before the current Ozcom Technology Group merger in 2015. Unfortunately, we don’t have any documentation, firmware, or hardware information from that era. if we do come across anything we will reach out.
Based on the reply and the branding, I’m going to add Ozcom to the list in the top post. Pretty sure that’s the first new addition this year. Could there be any more yet to come to light?
